Australian Application Service Provider.
So what is that exactly?
Well, an application service provider (ASP) is a business that provides computer-based services to customers via the Internet.
IAMHOSTED provides a number of applications on our systems, which users access (securely) via the Internet.
We own, operate and maintain the servers that run the applications.
We employ specialists to maintain the applications, hardware and networking platforms. We also have a number of key relationships with the organisations’ that provide and/ or support the applications. In essence we have a team of people available to you, to keep your business running on our platforms when you need them most!
We make our hosted applications available to customers everywhere via the Internet
(either in a browser or through client side software). We go to great lengths to ensure that these connections are safe and secure!

Exactly how a package works will change depending on the software technologies that you choose to use with us! But basically if you’ve ever worked in a Terminal Server type environment our offerings will be familiar to you!Typically the process to get you up and running would be:
- Select the packages you wish to use with us;
- Provide us with a little detail on your current environment (printers, OS and a few other minor technical details);
- We set your new environment up (including license management/ checks etc);
- You provide us with the information/ data that needs to be loaded to your new environment;
- We show you how to login and walk you through the environment and it’s setup;
You can then access it from anywhere with an internet connection;

There are no large upfront costs to improve your environment!
